When Gabe was born in Miami, Florida, seventeen years ago, his parents were overjoyed. He was the first of three children, his younger siblings being twins, one male and one female. He, Jessie, and Mike were extremely close for most of their lives. Gabe was always a bit overprotective of his two younger siblings, and would constantly worry about either one if they ever got sick. Many people admired him for his caring of his family, but many others found themselves completely annoyed with him, so when he first started high school, he didn't have too many friends. However, that all changed when Jaeda moved in.

Immediately, he admired her for not only her looks, but the way she carried herself. Truly, a strong girl in more ways than one, Gabe developed a crush on her. As time passed, they grew closer, eventually becoming friends, then best friends. She told him about how she had to battle leukemia for most of her life, and he told her about why he didn't have many friends because of his sister and brother. With each passing day, the two became closer, until finally Gabe gathered his courage and asked her out. They've now been going out together for a week, and all of this is extremely new to him, almost foreign.
