» Aphrodite wasn't necessarily a teacher in the traditional sense. Actually, she definitely wasn't. If her "classroom" was an actual room, she would not have been doing it for more than a day. Luckily, her chosen subject was theater- so she got to have the auditorium, where she could use the stage to have her students do various activities. Aphy really couldn't see herself teaching any other class. In fact, she probably wouldn't even be hired to teach anything else. She was just... well, weird. Her "hair" changed every day, she wore the most incredibly out-there clothing that next to never matched, and just her general demeanor was incredibly odd. She didn't care what people thought of her, but still- if she acted like she did in, say, a math class, she would probably be getting all kinds of calls from angry parents complaining about her behavior. Besides, theater was fun. She, and her students, got to dance, sing and perform in many different ways. She loved it. Theater, for Aphy, was just all-around the best.
» Today was just like any other day. It was early into the year- in fact, today was the first friday since school started- so it was actually kind of boring. Students were still trying to get oriented to the school and class locations, and figure out how long they could screw around in-between classes and still make it to them on time. And the freshmen were still scared to death about what upperclassmen would do to them. Most teachers were considering it a "week off", turning their class into an open forum, or a study hall. In a way, it was exactly like the last week of classes- none of the students really felt like doing any actual work, and the teachers were too lazy to organize any work for them to do. Aphy was no different. For her class, every day was some fun getting-to-know-each-other activity, and once that was finished, they would do some sort of vocal exercise or mini-skit- or a short reading from some random musical. No actual work was done yet- but then again, Aphy almost never gave her students actual work to do.
» As the last bell rang, Aphy climbed up on the stage and waved goodbye to the exiting students, smiling like the looney-bin-escapee she was. Some of them waved back and smiled with just as much enthusiasm. Others just gave an awkward smile and wave and left. Aphy didn't let her feelings get too hurt when a student didn't absolutely love her- she knew not everyone would consider her their favorite teacher, and was perfectly okay with that. She waited until the last student left and the doors that opened into the school lobby shut before she turned. bent over, and pushed the "play" button on the CD player she had sitting on the edge of the stage. She started singing, loudly, and dancing wildly about the stage. "Tonight the super trouper lights are gonna find me, shining like a sun, smiling having fun, feeling like a number one. Tonight the super trouper beams are gonna blind me, but I won't feel blue, 'cause somewhere in the crowd there's-" She stopped suddenly, hearing the door to the right of the stage open, and squealed when she saw who it was. "Ry, baby!" She ran and took a flying leap toward him, effectively tackling. Say whatever you want about Aphrodite- she was enthusiastic.
