BECAUSE I KNOW THEY'LL NEVER WIN THERE'S A HAZE ABOVE MY TV
that changes everything I see and maybe if I continue watching i'll lose the traits
Sighing loudly Oliver sat up and turned on the tv, he flicked through a number of different channels – none that he wanted to stick to. He didn’t know what it was, but today he was more annoyed that any other day. Maybe it was just the fact that Linds only let Oliver see Jace when it suited her. After all Oliver was his dad and Jace needed to see him. Although all of this would never be said to Linds, he was lucky to see Jace and if she said anything to her. Then that would mean that maybe she would think about letting him see their son on the weekends. It was frustrating but Oliver just had to live with the mistake that he made. It would have been worse if he cheated on her as well as running away. Oliver wasn’t stupid enough to actually do that, but he was stupid enough to run in the first place. Everyday Oliver thought what would life would be like if he stayed with Linds - if he stayed when she needed him the most. Frowning to himself Oliver switched off the tv and stood up and looked at himself through the mirror. Sometimes he couldn’t even look at himself, which was pretty sad. His eyes moved towards the guitar that lay at the other side of the room. That was one of his prized possessions. Linds had it all; she had this great record deal. Somehow Oliver couldn’t get one. He wasn’t jealous of her, Oliver was happy that she was doing something she wanted to do.
Picking up his mobile Oliver scrolled down his contacts until he stopped at Lindsay’s number. His finger lingered on the call button, he wanted to call her. To see how Jace and she were doing. Sighing he threw the phone onto the table and looked out his flats window. He was a wimp. Oliver backed out at the slightest thing, even if it was important. As he paced around the room Oliver stopped as he picked up his mobile again. He really needed to do something or else he was going to go crazy. Stopping at Nathans name Oliver sent a message to him, before grabbing his beanie hat that lay on the table. Closing the front door behind him, Oliver locked it before jogging down the stairs and left the block of flats.
hey, dude if you’re not busy I’ll see you at the bowling alley. Yeah you guessed I’m bored.
Before Oliver even noticed he was there, he looked around and well there weren’t many people outside, but that may have been another story inside. Walking inside, it was pretty quiet and well it was normal for a bowling alley right? How would Oliver know anyway, this wasn’t his usual hang out? He needed a change, and well he wanted to beat Nathan at something. Maybe he could win here. Oliver hadn’t really known Nathan for that long, but he was really good mate. Oliver picked up his shoes and went to sit down as he waited for Nathan. One thing he really hated about this place was the damn bowling shoes. Even a clown would have better taste in shoes.
