Gavin was your typical bad boy, but normally bad boys would know when it was time to stop and when it got too dangerous, not Gavin he thrived on that danger and loved it, craved it, wanted it. He was one of the many Harrison children that lived in Miami and loved it like anyone else did; it was his scene, the parties, the sex, the drinking, the smoking. Gavin was known to be the bad boy of the family and he lived up to his name, his family thought he was getting better when he got a job at the garage, but that is what he told him he actually got a job for this under cover company that sent people out to kill people that the police either couldn’t find or because their crimes were so bad they were sentenced to death, without them even knowing about it. Gavin actually enjoyed his job as he felt as though he was doing something for the community, his father killed his mother and he wanted to get horrible people that like off this planet, so he could feel safe alongside everyone else. His family would never accept his ways though, that was why he didn’t tell anyone, it was hard to explain the cuts, bruises and broken bones when he came home from a hard day of killing, but that was why they called him a loner, as he would lock himself away for a period of time to heal before coming out again.
Gavin was sitting in his old impala car as he waited for someone to exit their house; he was on another job for his company. His job was to kill people that the police couldn’t find, simple really. He sighed as he looked at his watch and then placed his hand back on the steering wheel, he was hidden under a large oak tree so the person was unable to see him, when he saw a light turn on in the house he exited the car, taking a large sniper rifle off the back seat and headed up the tree and hid within its leaves. He sighed as he saw a figure moving around, he was looking for a young male, only the same age at Gavin, with blonde hair and brown eyes. He didn’t live with anyone else but Gavin didn’t want to take the shot and find out it was someone else, when the curtain opened to show the person he was looking for, he took the aim and shot him between the eyes and smile as he watched what he called the ‘pink mist’ then quickly he slipped out of the tree, back into his car and drove off into the night, checking his watch one more. He was meant to be meeting Amelia for this party thing that her father was having or something, he hadn’t been listening but looking at her sexy body instead, she was so tempting. So he quickly went back to his place to drop off his stuff before heading over to her place to meet up with her. Knocking on the door he waited, but no one answered then he tried the door seeing it was open and wandered straight in. He sighed and called out of name before wandering into her living room and seeing that she really did have a nice place.

cause i just set them up, just set them up
JUST SET THEM UP TO KNOCK THEM DOWN ameliah marie barton entered her apartment, tossing her gucci bag down onto the table that sat near the front door. after her hand bag came her high heels, tossed carelessly near the couch. she’d never been very good at keeping things tidy, which was probably a good thing that her friend tallulah Edwards had come to stay with her. liah paused, and shook her head. sometimes she worried about her friend. she knew what it was like when your parents didn’t give a shit what you wanted, only what they wanted and what was best for them. hell, it was almost like if you had money, you had no conscience, like you couldn’t love anyone but yourself. liah shook her head again, dismissing the thoughts and continued on into her bedroom leaving the door open. since no one had called out when she had come into the apartment, she was certain that no one was here but herself. quickly she shrugged out of the black chanel suit she had adorned herself with, she didn’t know every rich person in the world, though if it came to it, she’d probably know about seventy five percent of them. it wasn’t hard when the rich all ran in only one circle.
still, they were all the same, every last one of them. except for her, and some of the new generation that cared about more than letting mummy and daddy pay for every little thing. it made liah want to laugh every time she saw some of the daughters and sons of her father’s business associates. the way they always seemed to be gossiping about someone, how they could ostrasize someone if they weren’t wearing the right thing. seriously, the boys were just as bad as the girls. good thing she didn’t plan on getting married to any of the wimps, it wasn’t like they could keep up with her anyway. usually they thought they were all that but in the end it was just fluff. liah rolled her eyes, the only boys she’d ever been interested in were the bad boys, and not the stuffy, bought ones. liah had always loved the real thing, they were always more exciting than fakes. and that’s what liah had always looked for in life, excitement. which was mainly the reason why she only liked guys that didn’t run in her own circles. not that her father knew that of course. liah had always been careful to only ever take boys from her own circles to the parties she organized for her father.
liah pulled the hair band from her hair, letting the long tendrils waterfall around her face. it wasn’t on to invite someone different to the dinners, but she would have to. liah mussed her hair up with both hands and glared at the back wall of her room. sometimes she thought life was perfectly fine, but then something always had to go and ruin it. take that day, she’d gotten in early at work, which was surprising, she’d finished a heap of work, but then her dad just had to call her at lunch to ask her to organize a dinner party for twenty people. liah’s full lips turned down in a frown, and now she was worrying over it. it wasn’t the party that had her worried though, it was the date. she’d already tried to call up all the guys she knew, but they already had something on. which is why, after much thinking, she’d rung up gavin Harrison. yes, the gavin Harrison. of course she regretted it now, she’d only met him a couple of times through his twin nathan, but she always managed to make a fool of herself in front of him. still, she needed someone and he was all she had a such short notice. plus, he could finally put that charm to use.
liah stood in her underwear, her suit on the ground. it was almost sinful how much the thing had cost, but what could she do? being a fashion journalist meant she had to keep up with the latest fashions, and besides, hadn’t she always thought of fashion as an art? a symphony of colours, elegant lines and tempting fabric? liah bent down and reached for the suit, laying it carefully into the laundry basket in her room. much as she hated to think it, she knew that she loved her clothes. they were apart of her and how she presented herself to the world. she strode over to the large wardrobe that was slightly shadowed in the room. it had been a warm day, hell, liah had almost wanted to run out of the office and go down to the beach, but unlike most heiress’, she had a job, and one that she intended to keep. no way was she ever going to rely solely on her father, she’d much sooner kill herself. she’d learnt that depending on her father was nothing more than stupid. her father had never seen her as anything else other than a daughter he had nothing to do with but hand over to paid staff.
that was, until she turned eighteen and had started helping him throw parties and dinners for his business. suddenly, liah had been transformed from invisible to an unlisted asset. liah’s frown turned up in a cynical smile as she walked over to her wardrobe and opened the double doors. nothing had ever mattered to her father but work. work, work, work. and even though over the years she had learnt to deal with this, liah still couldn’t help but think of how her life might be if her father had loved her. she sighed. i guess we’ll never know will we? she thought to herself as she picked out a black cropped jacket, jean shorts and a v neck top. quickly she closed the doors. it was only six, maybe seven, maybe when tallulah came back they could go for some Chinese take out, that was, if gavin didn’t stay too long. liah looked towards the clock on her bed side table, she was right, it was about six thirty, not that late, but close enough to the time she’d texted to gavin. he’d be here in about twenty minutes. picking the white shirt off the bed, she pulled it over her head. next, she put on the jean shorts, buttoned them and then picked up her jacket. she’d kept on the long silver necklace she had been wearing earlier.
it was then that she heard her name called out from the living room. liah walked to her bedroom door, shrugging on her jacket as she did so. as she reached the threshold that connected the living room with her bedroom, she tried not to roll her eyes. of course it was gavin, who else would it be? but what was he wearing? if he agreed to this, liah would definitely be dragging him to the closest store to buy him a tux. no way was he going to get the chance to embarrass her. calm down, she thought to herself, you need to keep him sweet so he’ll actually agree to this. liah brought her lips up in one of her notoriously sexy smiles, it was hard not to in the presence of gavin, the guy should be locked away so the female race would be saved from dying of too much drooling. ”glad you came gavin, can i get you something, a drink maybe, before we start?”

Gavin lived for his family now that little Megan, his little sister daughter had entered the world he couldn’t help but be around for them, he wanted to be there, definitely if this Kane person wasn’t going to pull his weight in that relationship, he lost his mother and father due to his father just generally being a dick and that was not going to happen for little Megan, he promised it upon himself and them. Gavin was not rich, though he did get paid a lot for killing people it wasn’t like he did it every day, some days he could go weeks without a kill, and that was when it got hard, the money was great and the adrenaline rush when he was hunting that person was brilliant but for everything he did the pay was crap, but he couldn’t leave now, he was too deep and they would kill him if he tried to run, he knew how they worked. Gavin had met Liah she was stubborn and wasn’t looking for help, he wasn’t either as they met by just passing in the street. She was a very pretty lady and he was instantly attracted to her and would try his charm but it never seemed to work, she liked to brush him off and then reel him back in, it was something she did and something he craved. He never seemed interested anyway, but it was like that with any girl he was with most of the time, if they didn’t drop their knickers or do something to grab his attention he was pretty much out of their before they could speak, he wasn’t looking for a relationship, and it would be a while till this bad boy ever slowed down and looked for someone special.
Gavin was shocked when Liah had rung him up to ask him out to a dinner thing with her, as he answered the call he was standing over a dead body checking for ID, he hadn’t killed the man himself but he knew he was linked to the one he was looking for. He sighed when she asked before saying yes, he needed something to get his mind off all the shit that went on in his life, it was hard to do it all alone though bringing someone else into his life was just as dangerous. He jogged up the steps of the house before entering, he was not trying to impres anyone with what he was wearing he just just being himself, he didn’t know what this thing was all about and honestly, he didn’t care it meant free booze for him and a sexy lady like Liah on his arm all night, what more did he want? Actually he could answer that pretty easily, but of course trying to covince his ego and heart that they wanted to same thing was hard, he seemed to be made out of dense alloy, harder than your normal male, if someone said that males were normally emotionless then Gavin should technically be dead because of his emotions, he’d seen too much to care about what his heart felt about it anymore, or what his mind thought.
As he looked around he decided to place his rear on the sofa and wait for liah seeing as she like most female would take ages to just ready, and to him they looked just the same, just with more colour on their faces. As she entered he looked at her, she did look like a million dollar bill, and he was lucky enough to be sitting with her in that moment. He stood and looked at her before looking down at his outfit compared to hers. He laughed a little, he looked a little under-dressed and her expression showed it but it didn’t bother him. He grinned when she smiled at him, that sly cocky smile he had, which was so alluring. Before we start? What are you suggesting Liah? he grinned before shrugging off the drink, he was not thirsty. He sat down again and looked over at her When we getting this over with then? he asked referring to this dinner party thing she had invited him too so the young miss didn’t have to go alone.
