to while walking the streets. Ana didn’t mind that, because it was only as she is new around Miami. But being someone new isn’t always that great, and she had some experience before this as well. It was only when she was a little girl though; she had to move school for some reason. Ana hardly remembers why, ‘because she was only about five years old at the time. Anyway, when she started at this new school she was extremely nervous, and it felt really weird. You could say that she was just worried about not making friends, but five year old play with anyone. Living in Miami was nothing like moving to a new school, it was a bigger thing. However, if staying here wasn’t her thing, then she could always move. Going back to New York wouldn’t be all that great. Analeigh and her mother had, had a big argument on that day that she left. That just made things a lot worse. How could she go back there now? Ana was only worried about what her mum would say to her. Frankie would probably ask her; ’why have you come running back to me now?’. Hearing that would just break her heart, so going back was out of the question. Taking a deep breath Ana looked at herself in her bedroom mirror and the smallest smile appeared on her face. It wasn’t that smile that she had when she was younger – that was when everything was happy and innocent for her. Pushing her blonde hair back Ana tied it up and carefully placed the hair band on top. there, perfect the blonde thought as she walked away from the mirror and headed out of her room. In the corner of her living room sat her cat, it was curled in a little ball. Ana stroked it for a brief second before grabbing her mobile phone that lay on the table. She pushed the phone into her trouser pocket and left her flat, she headed towards the beach; where Ana was going to meet Gavin. It was still a shock to her that this was the same guy that worked for her dad. She did vaguely remember him every time he was over at her house; to see Graeme obviously. Her dad had made it clear that she wasn’t allowed to go near him, and he had probably said that same thing to Gavin as well. But her dad couldn’t stop her looking at him for a distance. Now, Analeigh’s dad wasn’t around so he couldn’t say anything, right? She didn’t care anyway; Ana was already annoyed with both of her parents. Ana arrived at the beach, she walked onto the sand and stood for a second; staring at the dark sky Ana smiled before taking a seat. Staring down at the warm sand she placed her hand down and scooped some onto her hand before dropping it back down again. There was one thing going through her head now – was he even going to come. Analeigh just stared at the waves and was now lost in her own thoughts. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/ul] [/ul] WORD COUNT: eight eight seven. Gavin had worked for Ana’s father for a long time, or at least it felt like that a lot of the time, it was hard. He was a stern man, Ana’s father and he was the closest thing to the older man and his daughter, their lives depended on what Gavin did, or what he would do for them. Gavin loved working for that family for the amount of time he did, and even had to go round with Byron some of the time depending on what they were doing which was the part he hated, he was close to Ana’s father that seeing that man just act like he was the business annoyed him, Byron did not care about his work and spent a lot of the time heading to dealers and doing his own business through Graeme’s contacts. He told Graeme one day about the drug dealing going between families and how Byron was passing it off as if it was of Graeme’s doing. That was the day that he was told to kill Byron and that was what he did, taking the gruff man to a cliff on the outside of the city, telling him that this was the area they were meant to be for a meet between some rival families and right there he placed a bullet through his skull and watched that lifeless body fall into the deep unknown below. It was hard to drive back to the house and just act like everything was ok but then that was the moment he saw Ana, in all her beauty as he entered the house she was passing in a plain white dress and flip flops, her bikini visible under her dress heading to their pool he guessed. He was only able to keep eye contact for a second before having his attention taken by Graeme, asking if the deed was done.
After so many years he was kind of scared to meet her again, since her father’s words still echoed in his mind about him forbidding Gavin to even speak to the young maiden. But he still needed to see her, just to calm his own mind, not just hers. Gavin moved across his bedroom thinking of what he could wear or even what they would be doing tonight, the beach was a big area, there were shops, restaurants and other places so they would never get bored. He decided to just go as himself and not try to be someone else, he didn’t look that different from what she would have known, he was twenty five now and even a couple of years didn’t change his face or even figure. He was most likely if anything a little more broad in the shoulder and emotionless in the eyes from what he had seen from then and now, it was harder these days work was challenging and he was not getting younger, so it meant his body was weakening on him as days passed. When he had changed and got himself ready he headed down the stairs of his small home and out of the door, making sure he had his keys, phone and money with him. Down the small drive he soon came to his old impala car which was his pride a joy most of the time before he slipped into the driver’s seat and listened closely s he heard the engine grumble at him when he turned the keys, that sound smoothly his soul already.
As he came nearer to the beach he parked his car in the car park before exiting and heading down to the sandy shores to look for Analeigh, he didn’t know much of what she looked like but from the picture she used as her AIM picture. He sighed before seeing a young woman sat on the sand, her hands messing with the sand, her eyes fixated on the waves. He though this must be the woman he was looking for as even as she sat there he felt the calm run over his body like he felt with any of Graeme’s family. As he walked up he didn’t introduce himself but place his body on the ground next to her. Looking over he smiled softly, it must have been weird for both of them to be face to face again but he wasn’t afraid of this, he wanted it to happen.
